We look forward to welcoming you to the EMBO Bacterial Networks 2026 (BacNet26) conference, which will take place in Sant Feliu de Guixols, Spain, from 13-18 September 2026 (https://meetings.embo.org/event/26-bacnet).

To confirm your participation, we kindly ask you to pay the registration fee by July 15th, 2026.

To minimize credit card transaction fees charged to the conference budget, we encourage participants to use bank transfer whenever possible. If you wish to pay via bank transfer, please follow instructions received by email.

If you prefer to pay by card (credit or Bancontact), please click on “Register”. This payment platform is hosted by UCLouvain, the host institution of the conference chair. You will receive a confirmation email once your payment has been received.

Please note that unpaid registrations may be cancelled after July 15th, 2026 and reassigned to applicants on the waiting list.

If, for any reason, you are unable to attend the conference, please let us know as soon as possible by email at bacnet26@gmail.com.

Excursion fee

We invite you to reserve your place for the excursion scheduled on the afternoon of 16 September: a 2-hour guided tour of the beautiful city of Girona, renowned for its preserved medieval Old Town and filming locations for Game of Thrones scenes. The bus journey from the conference hotel to Girona takes approximately 50 minutes.

Participation in the excursion is optional. A small fee (€ 20,-) is requested to cover the associated costs (please select this option in addition to your registration fee).

Booking your place now will help us plan transportation and guide availability.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that additional spots will become available at a later stage.

Single-room fee

If your request for single room has been approved, you have already received a confirmation email directly from the conference organizers. In that case, please select the single-room fee in addition to the regular registration fee.

If you have not received a separate confirmation email, you will be accommodated in a double room. We could only secure a very limited number of rooms for single use, and we regret that we won’t be able to fulfill all requests.
